Brief

To be screened at a Gala Fundraiser dinner in front of Australia's elite orchestral supporters; this film must show how, for 40 years, the Sydney Youth Orchestras (SYO) has nurtured Australia's orchestral talent. The goal of the film is to display the cultural significance the SYO holds in Australia; and to help raise donations to this great organisation.

Solution

The pace, rhythm, and style of the film was designed to appeal to a refined, mature audience. SYO supporters are lovers of classical music and the arts. Therefore, we focused on producing a film that would exude elegance and show how the SYO nurtures excellence. To do this, we filmed a rising orchestral star learning from the renowned SYO tutor and Sydney Symphony Orchestra (SSO) violinist, Kirsten Williams.

feedback

It was a joy to work with Olivia and Gavin at Good Eye Deer. Collaborating within a very short time frame, they quickly understood our complex organisation and priorities, and helped us to present a clear and focussed message with a strong call to action for our fundraising event and ongoing campaign.  The result was a beautiful and engaging video, mindful of the audience experience and telling a unique story in a creative way.
