When Australia’s leading Railway maintenance company, ARTC contracted us to create a 15 min corporate video on ballast cleaning (how to clean the rocks under the railway track), we made it so interesting they asked us to extend the film by 10 minutes! The result is an engaging behind-the-scenes look at one of the hardest jobs on the rail. Ballast Cleaning occurs four times a year, costs around $25,000 / hr to run, and is scheduled for no more than 4 days at a time. A team of committed contractors work 24hrs / day, in all conditions, to get the job done. Good Eye Deer’s Gavin Banks spent five days on track with the team shooting this mega-job.
