a pretty penny for goodeyedeer
SHORT FILM
A charming little character piece played by Australia’s legendary character actor Max Cullen, A Pretty Penny tells the story of a lonely pensioner and his life on the periphery. When 68yo Roy reluctantly forks out his life savings, something is clearly going wrong late in his life...
After seeing the documentary LOCKOUT, director Mark Shields approached goodeyedeer to online and grade A Pretty Penny, using our new HD online edit suite. As well as refining the cut, we worked to smooth out colour and exposure differences, as well as continuity problems (sunny / overcast days) caused by shooting exteriors over an extended period. The film was finally given a subtle stylistic and colour treatment.
